The only way to shut up the Carpet Alarm Clock is to get up and stand on it. Give yourself even more of a wake-up call by placing it on the other side of your room. And I don’t think this comes with a snooze option.

Become a student of life. Never stop learning and growing as a person. Just because you finish high school, just because you graduate from college, doesn’t mean your brain suddenly becomes stuffed. It’s still hungry!! Feed it! Go to your local bookstore and read, sign up for some part-time classes at the community college. Research some personal growth seminars in your area. Take up a new hobby like golf or skiing. It doesn’t matter what you do, just do something! Keep progressing, keep moving forward. A wise man once told me, “You’re either growing or you’re dying, there’s no in between.” Stagnation is death in disguise.

So get up, get out and go get some!
