Do you ever struggle to get out of bed in the morning? You just roll over and hit snooze for like half-an-hour? Well now you’ll be physically forced to get out of bed to turn off this alarm. The only way to shut up the Carpet Alarm Clock is to get up and stand on it. Give yourself even more of a wake-up call by placing it on the other side of your room. And I don’t think this comes with a snooze option.

“Knowledge is like a mountain, the higher you reach, the more you can see and appreciate.”

Become a student of life. Never stop learning and growing as a person. Just because you finish high school, just because you graduate from college, doesn’t mean your brain suddenly becomes stuffed. It’s still hungry!! Feed it! Go to your local bookstore and read, sign up for some part-time classes at the community college. Research some personal growth seminars in your area. Take up a new hobby like golf or skiing. It doesn’t matter what you do, just do something! Keep progressing, keep moving forward. A wise man once told me, “You’re either growing or you’re dying, there’s no in between.” Stagnation is death in disguise.

So get up, get out and go get some!

Feelin’ this boat shoe by Adidas. The Topsider-esq. deck shoe is super popular this summer. It seems like everybody’s doing their interpretation of it, some not so swell, but Adidas pulls through. I like the lining especially. Like Mac Dre said, “Preppy pimp… and Topsiders” Read the rest of this entry »

Designed by Pacific Environments Architects, the Yellow Treehouse Restaurant is a beautiful, beehive-like, wooden structure that spirals around a tall tree trunk and looks especially striking at night, glowing from within like a storybook tale. It supports a full bar and seats up to 18 people. Be sure to stop by next time you’re in Auckland, New Zealand. Syke! It’s not even a real restaurant, Read the rest of this entry »

“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” -Chinese Proverb

Are you a dreamer? Do you have big goals? Huge aspirations? I know I do. But sometimes we get stuck just dreaming instead of doing. We hope and wish for change… like that job we’ve always wanted, to get back in the gym, register for those nighttime classes, but somehow life always gets in the way. We get caught up in the daily routine and our goals go by the wayside…

But not you. You take action. You know what you want and  you go get it.

The first step is always the hardest, but keep putting one foot in front of the other and before you know it you’ll wake up one day and realize you’ve become that person.

When you first get back in the gym, it’s tough, you’re out of shape, you get super-sore and it’s hard to find motivation to go back the next week. But, if you want it bad enough, you’ll find it within yourself to stick to your goal and before long, it becomes part of your new routine.

Most importantly though, focus on the where you’re going, but don’t forget to enjoy the ride.

So, Get Up, Get Out and GO GET SOME! No more excuses.
